International School Yangon (ISY) is a private co-educational day school, providing an American and international curriculum from pre-school through Grade 12. The school is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and offers a college preparatory program, leading to a U.S. diploma. All faculty members are certified in their respective countries. Seventy-one percent of the faculty have earned at least a Masters Degree. ISY is now an International Baccalaureate Diploma school with the first cohort of about 40 students starting in August 2009 and graduating in May 2011.
